Canoe, Raft or Kayak the Lower Tuolumne and San Joaquin Rivers
June 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20
Class I, Flatwater.  No experience necessary.

Kids ages 7-12 are welcome on these legs.  Call 1-888-994-3344 if you want to register a child under age 12 (you cannot register kids online).

These canoeing and flat water kayaking legs of Paddle to the Sea are all CLASS I and open to everyone, from people who have never canoed or kayaked before to experienced paddlers.  Paddling is a great way to explore the Lower Tuolumne River and envision the Lower Tuolumne River Parkway.  The first two legs of this section are favorites of our salmon viewing canoe series (in the fall).  On June 14,  Paddle to the Sea will reach the town of Modesto. After that, canoeing continues down past the Big Bend restoration site and on to where the Tuolumne River reaches the confluence with the San Joaquin River, where you will get some great views of the San Joaquin River National Wildlife Refuge.  Even if you are a total beginner, this is a great way to experience the River!

The Tuolumne River Trust is happy to supply you with a seat in one of our canoes or rafts (depending on the day), or you can bring your own boat if you prefer.
