Paddling and Sailing the Sacramento-San Joaquin Bay Delta
June 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24
The Delta is the largest estuary in the Western Hemisphere. It plays a critical role in both California's ecology and water politics. Come learn how the health of the Delta and the Tuolumne River Salmon population are inextricably linked.
This section of the journey will be completed by a combination of boats. Paddlers will travel in high performance water craft like surf skis and outriggers, while sailboats will offer another view of the Delta as well as support for our paddling teams on this difficult journey. These trips are meant for experienced paddlers capable of traveling long distances on flat water and for sailors with their own boats and the necessary experience.
